Recommendations

Fundamentals

How Loybox's AI product recommendations work, showing similar, complementary, upgrade and personalized products to grow your sales.

Recommendations are how Loybox suggests relevant products to each member in your online store, using AI. Instead of building rules product by product, the system learns from your catalog and from purchase behavior to show the right product at the right moment.

For online stores

Recommendations run on your connected online store: they show up on its pages (cart, product page, checkout) and go out over WhatsApp.

The types of recommendation

Similar products

Products close to the one the member is viewing or added to the cart.

Complementary (cross-sell)

Products that go with what the member is buying or already has in the cart.

Upgrades (upsell)

A better and somewhat pricier option than the product chosen, up to the price limit you define.

Personalized

Suggestions based on the purchase history of each signed-in member.

Where they appear

You choose which points of the store show them:

In the cart

Recommendations based on what the member already added.

On the product page

On adding a product, a popup with similar products.

On the home page

Personalized recommendations for the signed-in member.

At checkout

Suggestions on the payment screen, before closing the purchase.

Recommendations over WhatsApp

Beyond the store, recommendations can arrive over WhatsApp at two moments:

Post-purchase

After a purchase, we suggest products that go with what the member bought (with the delay you define, so it is not intrusive).

Win-back for inactive members

Members who stopped buying get recommendations to pull them back in.

How the impact is measured

Loybox attributes the sales that come from a recommendation: if the member buys within the attribution window after seeing a suggestion, that sale counts as generated by recommendations. That is how you see the tool's real return.

What you need to configure

Very little: the AI does the work of choosing what to show. You decide whether it is on, where it appears and which notifications go out.
