Referrals

Fundamentals

What the Loybox referral program is, and how your own members bring new members in exchange for points.

Referrals are how your own members invite new people into your club. When an invitee makes their first purchase, both the referrer and the invitee earn points.

It is an acquisition channel where your members make the recommendation for you, and the reward is only paid out once that recommendation turns into a real purchase.

How it works

You turn the program on

You define how many points are awarded per successful referral.

Each member shares their link

From their app, every member has their own invitation link to share with whoever they want.

A new member joins

The invited person opens the link and joins your club.

Both earn points

When that invitee makes their first purchase, the points are credited to both: the referrer and the invitee.

The referral points

You configure a single value: the same points go to the referrer and to the invitee. They are credited once, on the invitee's first purchase (not on sign-up), so the reward always comes with a real sale.

The rules

For a referral to count, Loybox checks a few conditions:

It has to be a new member

The invitee cannot already be subscribed to your club. Referrals add new members, they do not reactivate existing ones.

No self-invites

Nobody can use their own invitation link.

One link per person

Each invitee can use a referral link only once.

Only on the first purchase

Signing up is not enough: the points are awarded when the invitee actually buys for the first time.
